preliminary umpireThe game of Rounders is growing in popularity in England and to support the growth of the nations oldest bat and ball sport, a workforce to initiate playing opportunities is integral to it’s success.

Becoming a Preliminary Umpire is a first step to introducing yourself to new opportunities in a sporting environment. Successful completion of the Birmingham Preliminary Umpire Course will provide you with an official Rounders England Award.

This course is suitable for anyone wanting to gain an introduction to umpiring and the skills to enable you to start to officiate at matches and events. It is for those who know the game as players and spectators and those just introduced to Rounders. The course is open to both men and women, aged 14+.
