Rounders England mission is to connect people though Rounders. We want to celebrate those people that make our Rounders Community that extra special and inspire others to be the best they can be! This week is Student Volunteer Week and as such we want to shout out to those students who contribute and encourage more people to get involved in Rounders… Meet Newcastle University Rounders Society!
Newcastle University Rounders Society is all about having fun, making friends and relieving the stress of university life! Established in September 2017, the society is off to a great start and is full of enthusiastic and dedicated team players/committee members that is needed to run a successful Rounders society!
The student volunteer committee are made up of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity/Media Officer and two Social Secretaries.
Society President, Georgina Creighton would recommend all students to join a committee, especially Rounders!
Being on the Rounders committee not only allows you to get involved with the sport itself, but it gives you more control in the running of the society, allowing you to implement your own creative ideas. It’s exciting to share your ideas and discuss future possibilities for the society with other committee members, from tournaments to social events.”
Rounders England understands being a student can be hard work and stressful. But according to Newcastle University Rounders Society, ditching the books for a bat for an hour long session provides a FUN and STRESS FREE environment for all members.
Thank you for creating such fantastic opportunities and representing Rounders is a positive way that allows everyone to get involved. Keep up the great work!
