STAR Centres

STAR Centres, (Satellite Training Academies for Rounders) are community clubs based at suitable venues around the country; they are based at Sports colleges, Universities, Sports Centres and recently, RFU (Rugby Football Union) clubs.

Rounders England, will over the coming years, make STAR Centres the hub of Rounders activity in the area giving the local community more opportunities to learn, practice and play the sport of Rounders. They are open to all ages, all abilities and all community groups.

They will also provide the pathway for players to develop their skills in Rounders through competitions and professional coaching.

Every year a National STAR Centre Challenge will be held giving players the opportunity to compete against other STAR Centres. STAR Centre adult teams (16+) will also be able to enter our National adult tournaments for leagues and clubs.

For schools, a STAR Centre can provide exit routes for players and for young leaders where they can build their skills and expertise through playing in a regular club and coaching and umpiring courses, for example the UKCC Level 1 and 2 Coaching Courses.

To find your local STAR Centre just type your postcode into our club locator and it will find your nearest STAR Centre for you. If there isn’t a STAR Centre near you don’t worry, our Regional Rounders Officers are based around the country and would love to hear from you
