This Girl Can
This Girl Can has launched the third phase of its national campaign to get women and girls active. #FitGotReal is a celebration of all the amazing ways to fit exercise into your life. Developed by Sport England and a wide range of partnership organisations, it’s a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing whether they are cycling to work, literally running the school run, or getting muddy with their pooch in the park. And we are on board…
There are so many wonderful female representatives that are fitting Rounders into their already busy lives but doing so has broadened their social network as well as strengthened their community spirit.
Shamim is the perfect example of a working woman with a busy family life, engaged in her children’s lives and their activities but with support, finds time for her activity, and it’s all paying off.
You might recognise yourself in her story.
We hand picked four women from around the country who have been playing Rounders for some time and got to know them a little better.
Join a Rounders team in your local area. Rounders is a great activity for building your stamina and fundamental skills as well as forming a strong social network.
Rounders England’s Involvement
Rounders England are delighted to be part of this campaign and were even more delighted when Jo Baldwin – within the picture on the right – a Rounders player from Burnley, was chosen to represent her sport in the 2015 poster campaign.
