Sunday 16th July saw the biggest match in the Rounders calendar take place at the Ruskin Drive Sports Ground in St Helens. The event was high quality and included 3 exciting games:

The day also commenced with a warm up game between the England Senior squad and the St Helen All Stars from the St Helens Rounders league.

All the games played were a delight to watch and the weather was on point, enabling the fixture to be completed in high spirits.

The spectacular day ended with the Most Valuable Player presentation which saw Rounders England Vice President, Fred Crawford, hand out the prizes.

Most Valuable Player’s:

England Under 16 – Imogen Sinclair

Wales Under 21 – Hannah Evans

England Under 19 – Lizzie Beaver

Wales A – Carol Evans

England Senior – Laura Horne

Wales Senior – Barbara Dolan

It was England U19 and Senior squad coach, Millie Collins, last game before the birth of her baby, due in September. She was presented with flowers by Emily Lenton, England Senior Captain and Jordi Matthews, England U19 Captain. We wish her all the luck in the world!

The annual England v Wales game once again proved to be a fun filled event! We are looking forward to the away fixture on Sunday 20th August at St Asaph!
