Tutoring

We are currently looking to increase our pool of tutors and assessors, particularly in the south of the country, to compliment our existing pool of workforce educators. If you would like to become involved, complete the application form demonstrating that you meet the required criteria:

  • To hold the ‘old’ NRA Level 2 Coach award or UKCC Level 2 award
  • Be a qualified teacher or hold relevant tutoring/assessing qualifications e.g. Certificate  in Tutoring  in Sport (CTS), City and Guilds 7407 or A1 or Introduction to Assessment Practice in Sport (IAPS)

Rounders England can:

  • Support you to complete your Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
  • Provide opportunities to work as a workforce educator and receive payment
  • Provide on-going support to enable you to undertake the role

If you are a P.E. Teacher and would like to be considered to deliver the Rounders Young Leaders Award or the Coaching for Teachers courses in the future, email or call the Workforce team on 0114 248 0357.

Potential deliverers will be required to provide evidence of their experience and competence to deliver these awards and undertake appropriate training Rounders England can:

  • Provide opportunities to work as a course deliverer for RYLA and Coaching For Teachers courses and receive payment
  • Provide ongoing support to enable you to undertake the role

Deliverers will also be required to commit to ongoing ‘continued professional development’ over the longer term.


All tutors and assessors are required to hold an up-to-date (dated within the last 3 years*):

  • DBS certificate*
  • 1st Aid Certificate*
  • Safeguarding Certificate*
  • A copy of their CV
  • Current Rounders England Associate Membership
