Rainbow Laces Are a Big Hit in Rounders Community

“Being a good team-mate and taking responsibility for making LGBT people feel welcome” – that’s the message behind this year’s Rainbow Laces campaign.

Stonewall Rainbow Laces campaign aims to raise awareness and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender players, workforce and fans. The movement began back in 2013 and looks to fight homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in sport. The positive response from the Rounders community has been one that has proudly championed LGBT+ equality.

There have been over 20 National Governing Bodies and organisations publicly backing Rainbow Laces, including the Premier League and England Rugby. Rainbow Laces is about much more than just the colourful laces. The visibility they provide makes it a simple way to show you’re supporting to ‘make sport everyone’s game’.

The campaign might be over but keep your Rainbow Laces visible…it’s down to you to be an active ally and make Rounders a sport for everyone #WeAreAllRounders. See how the Rounders community have already championed Rainbow Laces below.
