Across The Field – Survey Results
Our Across The Field strategy was first introduced to the Rounders community last November at our Annual General Meeting via Facebook live. In February, we launched our Across The Field survey; a unique opportunity for individuals, however they participate in Rounders, to play a part in creating a legacy for our much loved sport.
We are delighted with the number of people in the Rounders community that got involved. The results will help us as we write the new strategy for #TheFutureOfRounders.
The survey consisted of 42 questions, based around demographics, activity levels, the effects of coronavirus and thoughts on the future of Rounders. We welcomed responses from anyone involved in Rounders, including our members, member teams and leagues, as well as widely circulating the survey across social media.
Key Points
- Unsurprisingly, 65% of respondents said that coronavirus has significantly decreased their ability to exercise.
- 50% of respondents’ main motivation for continuing to play Rounders was for community and friendship.
- When asked if coronavirus has changed their feelings towards physical activity, 48% of respondents were aware of the importance of physical activity for improving mental health.
