Government consultation: Review of GCSE, AS and A level physical education activity list

The DfE have released their public consultation and are now inviting proposals to add activities to the published list.

Rounders England is currently preparing a response focused on academic rigour to the 7 sections of the consultation. This is based on insight and observations from the education sector and wider Rounders community that we have gained over the last couple of years, plus the testing we have done of new criteria. We will publish a summary of our response on our website week commencing 19 November, and will be encouraging individuals and organisations to submit their own responses using our response as a base if they wish. Please share your responses with [email protected]

We know that there is an enormous amount of passion and willingness to support the reinstatement of Rounders to the list of assessed sports, and hope that you will be able to help us to achieve this. The more responses there are, the more likely we are to be successful, so please help to spread this message among your networks.

Responses to the review should be submitted here.
