Latest Update from Rounders England

We wanted to provide the Rounders community with an update of our current situation. Unfortunately our circumstances remain the same, where all Rounders activities have been suspended until at least Friday 17 April 2020. We will be reviewing the end date of this next week and we will of course inform you of any changes. We are closely following government advice and will continue to do so in making any future decisions.

In the meantime we have produced some FAQs that may answer some questions you have. If not, then please do not hesitate to contact us by email and we will do our best to support you.

The Rounders England team are busy working behind the scenes to develop new projects and tools to ensure we are ready to go once we can get back to playing our game. It is great to see the engagement in the #RoundersinQuarantine and we will continue to develop some fun challenges over the coming weeks. We also want to hear from you if you are a key worker, to hear your story and say a big thankyou. Please contact [email protected] if you are, or know someone from the Rounders family who is a key worker. Our first thank you goes out to Margaret Preece, a carer from West Yorkshire who plays in Halifax Rounders Club. You can view these declarations on our Twitter feed and Facebook page.

We are also supporting Sport England’s ‘Join the Movement’ campaign that is seeking to bring greater attention to #StayInWorkOut by inspiring and informing everyone about the many fun, and creative ways they can keep moving during this time. The website Stayinworkout.org is a hub of curated home workouts from popular fitness brands and influencers as well as guidance on encouraging people to get active outdoors following the latest social distancing guidelines. We want to help build a movement by asking people to share their own hints, tips and home-based exercise inspiration using #StayInWorkOut.

We hope our Rounders family is staying fit and healthy and we will provide a further update next week once we know more.
