Rounders England appoints Play Co-ordinator to spearhead new growth

Rounders England are happy to announce the appointment of David Lancaster as its new Play Co-ordinator. With a wealth of experience on and off the rounders pitch, David will spearhead Rounders England’s efforts in creating new growth and participation opportunities.

David said of the appointment:

“I’ve been playing and umpiring in social rounders leagues in the West Midlands for almost 7 years now and just can’t get enough of it! I absolutely love how rounders brings people of all backgrounds, age groups, and experiences together on the same pitch working as one – not many other sports can say the same, and that’s what makes this game so powerful. Thanks to rounders I’ve laughed till I’ve cried, overcome massive personal challenges, and made 100% friends for life, and I can’t wait to help others to find their own rounders tribe so they can feel the same!

Other things about me? (is there really life outside of rounders?!) I teach primary kids, dabble in mixed netball as a GK, watch ropey old sci-fi on TV, listen to far too much 90s and early 00s pop music, and enjoy hanging out with the family boxer dog.”

This is an exciting appointment for Rounders England as it will cement the next phase of our journey, as we move into implementing our ambitious 10 year strategy, Rounders Reconnected.
